Planning Applications
As Findon is situated wholly within the South Downs National Park all planning related matters (such as establishing whether planning permission is required, pre-application advice, making full or outline applications, appeals, and planning compliance issues) in Findon will be dealt with by the South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA).
Findon Parish Council is a statutory consultee for planning applications and other planning matters. The SDNPA, as the planning authority, is the decision making body for planning applications
The dates for scheduled Planning Committee meetings are displayed in the Parish Council Notice Boards and published on this web site. Agendas (printed in green) are placed in the Parish Council Notice Boards 3 clear working days before a scheduled Committee meeting and include details of the applications to be considered. Members of the public are welcome to attend and participate in the Public Question Time to speak on an item on the Agenda.
Following consideration by the Planning Committee, a response from the Parish Council will be submitted to the SDNPA.
Full details of the response, other submissions and documents for each application can be found on the South Downs National Park Authority (the statutory planning authority for Findon) Planning Portal by entering the planning application reference in the search box http://planningpublicaccess.southdowns.gov.uk/online-applications/
Planning application documentation can be viewed online via the SDNPA Public Access system by using the following link (just enter the application ref no, if known, or the location address in the ‘search box’)
