Following the road traffic accident on 9 September 2024 and the resulting closure on the A280, Long Furlong,  the WSCC Senior Highway Steward attended the site today (10 September) to inspect the area and to agree a scope of works with the contractor. These works need to be delivered before the road is re-opened and includes resurfacing and re-lining of the road, and the contractor should be on site tomorrow (11 September) to carry out this work. WSCC anticipate that the road will be re-opened on Thursday (12 September)
